Terms of service
Last updated 10 September 2026
These are the terms between you and PlayAppTest Ltd, the company behind PlayAppTest. Using the service means accepting them.
What we do
We supply real people, with real Google or Apple accounts and real devices, who join your closed test and stay opted in for the period you buy. On a QA run, they use your app deliberately and write down what went wrong.
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise Google or Apple will approve your app. That decision is theirs and rests on your app, your account and their policies — none of which we control. What we promise is the testing itself: the number of testers you paid for, opted in for the number of days you paid for, with proof you can show.
We are not affiliated with Google LLC or Apple Inc. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC; App Store is a trademark of Apple Inc.
What you promise
- That the app is yours, or that you are allowed to have it tested.
- That it contains nothing illegal, nothing malicious, and nothing that would put a tester’s device or account at risk. This one is not negotiable: real people install what you upload.
- That you will not ask testers to do anything beyond installing your app, keeping it installed, and using it — no reviews, no ratings, no clicking your ads. Google and Apple both forbid that, and it is the fastest way to lose the account you are trying to protect.
- That you will not contact testers outside the platform or use their addresses for anything but adding them to the test they were assigned to.
Paying
You pay per run, in advance, by card or M-Pesa through Paystack. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Prices are in US dollars; paying by M-Pesa charges the shilling equivalent at the rate shown before you commit, which is the rate you are charged at.
A bundle buys a number of apps and does not expire. Apps are claimed one at a time, whenever you like.
Refunds
If we cannot staff your run, you get all of it back. If a run fails through our fault — testers we assigned dropped out and we did not replace them — you get all of it back. If a run completes as bought and Google still refuses your app, we do not refund it: the testing you paid for was delivered, and the decision was somebody else’s.
Unstarted apps on a bundle are refundable within 30 days of purchase. Write to hello@playapptest.com.
Testers
Testers are paid for completed work, per run. You must keep the app installed and open it on the days you are asked to — a missed day can cost the developer their fortnight, and repeated misses will end your place here. Never submit a review, a rating or a fake report; that harms the developer you were paid to help.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will say which term and why. Runs already paid for and under way are finished or refunded — we will not keep money for work we then refuse to do.
Liability
Where the law allows us to limit it, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
Which law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove rights your own country’s law gives you.
Changes
We will email you before a material change takes effect. Runs already paid for continue under the terms they were bought on.
